Pendulum On Guitar Hero!

Yeah that got your attention didnt it!

The good news for you NON GH owners out there... is the only thing you really need is a pc with a keyboard, the guitar controller can just be a cool addition to make you feel like your playing guitar hero.
this should only take 10 minutes to set up, and i can tell you if just as good as Guitar Hero, except you can put new songs in yourself.

1. Now, Download Frets on Fire Here: http://fofix.googlecode.com/files/FoFiX-3.100-Full-Win32.rar
2. install that, Just extract the archive into any folder. i suggest "C:\\Program files\frets on fire"

3. go to http://www.4shared.com/dir/16425532/3a6b3475/Frets_on_Fire_midis.html and download the files for each of the song(s) of your choice.

4. goto, "program files/frets on fire/data/songs" (if "songs" isnt in "data" then just create it) and create a folder titled by the name of the track (the same as the folder on 4shared Eg. "Slam - pendulum")
and place the files you just downloaded inside it.

5. now load up the game and select the song.
any problems then contact me.

i made the scores for The songs at http://www.4shared.com/dir/16425532/3a6b3475/Frets_on_Fire_midis.html myself.
all you actually need to make your own is midi editing program such as FL Studio.
and i will make a tutorial if people want one.

Have fun.

Nick

List of Songs I have Made:
Bonkers - Dizzee Rascal
Paradox - Gizza
Slam - Pendulum
Ransom - Pendulum
Live another day - Drumsound & bassline smith
Blood Money - Ed Rush and Optical

edit: updated the instructions to hopefully make this easier for those such as dan or angelic, who may find the principle of installing the game tricky at first.

i hope people get a chance to check this out tonight. its really not something you want to miss out on

it does lol, its just the volume drops by half and theres a little stutter sound inserted, its like this because i have no way of seperating the lead synth from the rest of the track....

for my own songs i could make it work like guitar hero by exporting a version without the synth i would be playing... and a version which is JUST the synth i would be playing.

because thats how the audio in this game works

Yeh this basically... Nice idea though. Just, not something i'm a fan of. " Press button to make sound. If you don't... Oh well. "

Ha. this is awesome.

my only complaint is the lack of pendulum songs on the frets on fire database.

i found a few (tempest, a bad propane nightmares, and granite) via searching, but people should make more imho. the arguement of 'little guitar' in some of their older songs shouldn't be used here, it ain't guitar hero.

ALSO, when using your version of ransom on the latest frets on fire it works awesomely.

but if you try to use it in the latest FoFix (the frets on fire that looks like rock band, kind of), you get an error when you click it, saying "lost connection" or something like that, and it won't let you play it

its exactly why iv made these few myself.
the granite one on the database is shit... someone decided to actually put chords in the synth line... im pretty sure rob doesnt play chords ever on the synth
